Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about transfer behavior, expiry, access, and troubleshooting.
Can WhySave read my files?
WhySave is designed around encrypted transfer payloads, with minimal retained metadata and short-lived sessions. Decrypted file access happens at the receiver side.
How long does a session stay active?
By default, sessions use a short expiry window. The receive screen shows a live countdown so session lifetime is always visible.
What happens when a session expires?
Expired sessions are no longer downloadable and are deleted by cleanup logic. You can create a new session anytime from the receive page.
Can more than one person use a session link?
Anyone with the active session link or code can attempt access until expiry or session end. Use password mode for stronger practical control in shared environments.
What if upload fails?
Check file limits, session validity, and network stability. WhySave returns clear status-specific messages such as invalid request, expired session, or temporary rate limit.
Is WhySave a cloud drive?
No. WhySave is a temporary encrypted transfer tool built for controlled handoff, not permanent storage or document management.
