About WhySave
WhySave is a temporary encrypted transfer tool for short-lived file handoffs. It is designed for quick sharing sessions with clear control over link lifetime and access behavior.
What WhySave is
WhySave is built for situations where you need to transfer files quickly without creating long-term cloud folders. The focus is on a simple handoff model: create session, upload, receive, and close.
- Session-based transfer with a short default expiry.
- No account requirement for sender and receiver.
- Clear receiver-first workflow for controlled sharing.
What WhySave is not
WhySave is not a cloud drive, document manager, or permanent file host. It does not aim to replace collaboration suites. It is intentionally optimized for temporary transfer, low friction, and predictable session lifecycle.
How it works
The receiver creates a secure session and shares the generated link or code. The sender uploads files into that specific session. The receiver then accesses files, opens or saves them, and can end the session manually.
- Create session on intent from the receive page.
- Share link, QR, or session code with sender.
- Sender uploads encrypted transfer payload.
- Receiver accesses files before session expiry.
- Session is cleaned on expiry or explicit end session.
Who should use it
WhySave is useful for practical transfer scenarios: interview documents, design handoffs, temporary client submissions, and short-lived sensitive exchanges that do not need persistent storage infrastructure.
